The Veepstakes Roll On

In a previous post, I mentioned the issue of the timing of the running-mate announcements. This New York Times article from yesterday addresses, among other things, that timing issue. Apparently, the word is that the candidates will follow the custom established in the last few election years, and announce their choices shortly before their respective conventions. However, there seems to be some speculation that McCain could reveal his choice well in advance.
