We'll Always Have Paris

A line from Casablanca? No, a truism about Ms. Hilton.

Here is an AP story about the newest entrant in the presidential campaign. "I'm, like, totally ready to lead" is bound to go down in history as one of our most memorable political quotations.

I have written extensively about third-party candidacies. This one is certainly likely to get more notice than those of Bob Barr, Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader.

Alas and alack, the would-be candidate runs afoul of the Constitution. The 27-year-old Ms. Hilton fails to meet the requirement set forth in Article II, Section 1, clause 5: "neither shall any person be eligible to that Office [of President] who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years."
