Electoral votes: 10

2004 result: Kerry 49.7%, Bush 49.3%

2000 result: Gore 47.8%, Bush 47.6%

Most recent Republican win (1984): Reagan 54%, Mondale 45%

African American percentage: 6.0% (national average is 12.8%)

As he has done in so much of the country, Obama has recently built up a significant lead in the polls in Wisconsin. His largest lead in any of the recent polls linked to above, is nine points. So, this is now one of those states where it will be difficult, but not impossible, for McCain to make a comeback.
